Fernando A. de la Rosa - Sextant

There are sound artists and musicians organically growing around us, creators who are ‘behind the scenes’ formally documenting or relatively apart from the epicenter and the spotlight of certain music scene, people who have remained aloof due to their sobriety and restraint, observers and witnesses who listen mindfully and -in full-effect-, a 'Low Profile’ behavioral approach, so they say... maybe subconsciously trying to rescue one of those capital rules that shapes the electronic music scene around the globe: -Rockstars, Not need to apply.-

This cicle concludes generating an outstanding surprise, since their internal creative process eventually overflows as a renewing and refreshing blizzard, a pleasant surprise offered in a sudden way providing bliss and hope in us. The introductory premise served to proudly announce ‘Sextant’ (Transvection Ltd. 011) the formal debut into music, by documentary filmmaker from Ensenada, Mexico: Fernando A. de la Rosa.

Now, let’s talk history... Berlin may be universally known as the global ‘belly button’ of dancefloor oriented electronic music, but it was another German city that arguably gave birth to electronic music several decades earlier. That city, is Dusseldorf in the the 70s due the birth of the analogically propelled musical instruments It’s from that geographical and chronological era where De la Rosa seems to bloomed, taking as vehicles sounds and textures from the krautrock, the kosmiche music and some new agey harmonies in his structural composition.

Sextant is a score for a SciFi movie that does not exist (yet), actually, he is not alien at all to film score music since not long ago he composed the original soundtrack for the indie film ‘Carne Asada’ (soon to be available in Transvection Ltd. also)

The EP was constructed in extrospection spaces induced by the escape velocity driven in a 1: 1: 1 ratio by an analog synthesis generator, a frequency modulator and a sampler. This collection could fit perfectly as lullabies played through the speakers 🔊 in an automatic-robotic 🤖 nursery harboring the infants 👶 , survivors of planet Earth 🌎 , whom sail the cosmos in a uncertain travel in an intergalactic cruiser...Beauty, Cleanliness, Emotionality and Retrofuturism are key tags in his tracks.
