"The importance of sound and music to a picture should not be ignored.
For a film producer, the search for common ground is a continuous and painstaking task.

During a complicated period from the development stage of Carne Asada*, I turned to music as a means to attune to writer and director Sebastián Serrano´s personal views related to the overall mood of the story.

The result was a set of 4 musical passages, inspired the sensations arisen from the smell of coal, smoke and death depicted on a series of drafts and storyboards created by Serrano and DP Manon Pietrzak for the coming of age short-film about Aarón, mexican teenager, lost while seeking for revenge over the killing of Manchas, his beloved dog, while a family barbecue takes place, somewhere in the northern Mexican state of Nuevo, León.

The outcome meant a reconstruction of odd sensations that arise from heat, sweat, hopelessness and frustration, on a context that of reminiscent how hypocritical tyranny can lead to castration of human freedom."
